This unique find measures 2" wide by 1 1/2" tall by 5/8" front to back. It weighs a total of 45 grams (1.59 oz). It originated from the Kerr McGee Mine, Carlsbad Potash District, Eddy County, New Mexico.
Halite is a water soluble mineral and therefore should not be exposed to water as it will dissolve.
